About
Dan Jones is a freelance science writer covering a wide range of topics for a variety of magazines and journals (see ‘articles’ page). After a degree in molecular genetics, and postgraduate work in science and technology policy studies, Dan moved into science publishing and editorial, ending up at the Nature Publishing Group in London before going freelance fulltime in 2006. While still interested in genetics and molecular biology, he now writes about many other subjects, particularly those that illuminate human nature, and why we are the way we are.
He lives in Brighton, on the south coast of the UK, with his partner, Sarah.
